The Horses
Please enjoy the pictures we have provided of
the horses who call Jobi Farm home, and those that have over
the years!

Andeut (by Adios III o/o Keen Irony xx),
1994 Hanoverian Mare
This beautiful mare has produced one beautiful colt
for us. Andie is also in training right now to develop
as a riding horse. She was shown at Training Level
dressage before we purchased her, however due to her
sensitive nature she developed evasions and bad habits
and was then retired to breeding, after which we bought
her.
Her training is progressing and the biggest hurdle
is developing her trust and breaking through her anxiety
about having a rider aboard.

*Ceylon Obi (by Billionair xx o/o *J. Curly
Camel), 2003 Thoroughbred / Curly Mare
This was a really nice cross between two very different
horses. Ceylon's sire, a cremello Thoroughbred, and
her dam, a chestnut Bashkir Curly, really came together
to produce the best of their traits. Ceylon has the
beautiful palomino coloring matched with a full coat
of curls, a measurable amount of mane and tail, and
what every breeder hopes for - a filly.
Ceylon has a beautiful personality, and has proven
it by attending two Curly breed shows and two years
at the Midwest Horse Fair in the Curly breed demo,
all under the age of two years. Plans are to start
this girl under saddle at the age of four or five
and we look forward to the wonderful riding horse
she promises to become.

Hespero Sin Par (by Hilachoso Cabal o/o Vinaza
Sin Par), 1992 Paso Fino Gelding
"Jerry" was the very first horse to call
Jobi Farm home. He is a beautiful Paso Fino gelding
who has gone on to participate or compete in almost
every discipline you can imagine. He is five gaited,
performing the trot, pace, corto, largo and canter.
In 2001 Jerry foundered all around, luckily without
rotation. He has since become sound again and is now
back in training to reestablish his confidence.

*Ovanlig Obi (by VDL Orame o/o *BA's Misty
Morn), 2004 Dutch Warmblood / Curly Gelding
O Man, as we like to call him, is the friendliest
and yet most sensitive fella you could find. He is
sired by VDL Orame, who is competing (and winning)
Internationally in Show Jumping. We took a chance
on breeding O Man's parents, with his sire standing
a lanky 16.3 hands, and his dam a mere 14.1 hands,
but really matched the two on personality. The result
is this fabulous young gelding who's greatest wish
in life right now is more hay, and lots of attention
from people.

Scout Sweet Dynasty (by Holly's Dynasty o/o
Flash's Sweety Bar), 1995 Paint Gelding
Scout is a love of a guy, his aim is to please his
rider and he has a phenomenal mental connection with
his rider, Erica Frei. He has become well trained
in dressage, and performs several tricks including:
laying down, rearing, bowing, kicking, striking, bucking,
standing on a pedestal, Spanish Walk and Spanish Trot.
He likes to make his presence known at horse fairs
and shows by his unique antics (laying down just to
graze in a grassy patch).

*Tanjobi (by *Teoc Painted T o/o *Misty's
Tansie), 1998 Bashkir Curly Gelding
Originally the stallion half of Jobi Farm's breeding
program, Jobi has since been gelded and continues
to win in the show ring and progress in his training.
He seems to genuinely enjoy the attention while performing
at shows, but is himself at home out in the pasture
getting groomed at liberty. He is making consistent
progress in his training under saddle and a regular
mount for Erica Frei.

*Theodore Obi (by *Tanjobi o/o Andeut),
2004 Curly / Hanoverian Gelding
The perfect clone of his sire, *Tanjobi, Theo is
still a momma's boy at heart. He has continued to
grow into quite the gentleman, with beautiful gaits,
correct conformation and a personality that just begs
for love. We often go out to the pasture and mistake
Theo for his daddy, and vice versa. We really look
forward to the riding team these two will make in
the future.

*Truman Obi (by *Tanjobi o/o Wunderkind),
2004 Curly / American Warmblood Gelding
This picture is definitely outdated on this beautiful
giant. Truman continues to grow, and grow, and grow...!
This baby was a dummy foal following a red bag delivery,
and subsequently spent the first 3 weeks of life in
the ICU at the local vet hospital. This sweetheart
of a guy is the calmest guy in the pasture, he is
quick to look for attention and slow to spook. At
only two years old he has outgrown his sire and dam
and is closing in on our tallest horse who stands
16.1 hands. He has found a place in our heart and
forever on our farm.

Wunderkind (by Blue Chip o/o Glorious Hope
xx), 1992 American Warmblood Mare
Wunderkind originally arrived on a breeding lease,
and soon became a permanent resident. She is a beautiful
mover with a sweet personality. She has produced two
beautiful babies for us and for a number of years
was a great mount for beginners. We sold her and she
came back to us abused and mentally scarred. She is
making the slow progress back to confidence and trust
with people.

The following are the horses we have sold
over the years. We want to say thanks to all of our clients
and luck in their riding endeavors!

 |
*BA's Misty Morn (by *UB Basil o/o *Evening
Star), 2000 Bashkir Curly Mare
This lovely young mare we originally purchased as
a weanling to use in our breeding program. She produced
a beautiful colt (*Ovanlig Obi) for us in her maiden
breeding in 2004. She was started under saddle shortly
following, and then sold to a gentleman in South Dakota
in 2005.

 |
Halifax, 1993 Appaloosa / Curly
Gelding
This beautiful gentleman was given to us because
he had developed a deteriorating case of navicular,
which had not been helped by shoes, pads, daily bute
and steroids.
Through corrective barefoot trimming, we brought
this guy to soundness over the course of a year without
shoes or medication. It was over that time we also
discovered what a fabulously well trained trail horse
he was. A gentle giant, Halifax found a home with
the most loving woman in south eastern Wisconsin!
We couldn't be happier!

*J. Curly Camel (Unknown Breeding),
1990 Bashkir Curly Mare
We rescued Camilla in 2001 along with her young colt.
Despite her being underweight, she hadn't appeared
to have suffered emotionally and came out of the situation
being a reliable and fun riding horse. She also produced
*Teasel Obi and *Ceylon Obi for us while we owned
her.
In 2005, she found a home in Vermont along with her
2002 colt, *Teasel. She has become a personal riding
horse and is much loved.

*J. Scratch My Bottom (by Skippa World o/o
*J. Curly Camel), 2000 Paint / Curly Stallion
Scratch arrived with his mom from California, 5 months
old and handled only enough to put a halter on when
he was first born. That halter had quickly been outgrown
and was beginning to leave permanent marks on his
face when he arrived. Over the course of another 5
months, he learned to lead, tie, load, clip, bathe,
lunge, bow, stand on a pedestal and was ready to hitch
a cart to, not to mention being an overall quite and
sweet guy.
Before he was a year old he found a new home in Pennsylvania
where he was left intact because of his quiet personality.
To our knowledge he has one daughter, out of a Quarter
Horse mare.

*Teasel Obi (by *Tanjobi o/o *J. Curly Camel),
2002 Bashkir Curly Gelding
The first foal born at Jobi Farm, Teasel has been
a sweet and tractable young man all the years we owned
him. He attended the Midwest Horse Fair at just a
few weeks old and was calm and relaxed as could be
by all the sights and sounds. He has also been shown
in halter classes at Curly breed shows successfully.
In 2005 he was bought, along with his dam, by a woman
in Vermont where he has since been started under saddle.

Weiße Obi (by *Tanjobi o/o Wunderkind),
2002 Curly / American Warmblood Mare
Shown here with her new owner, Vee has come to called
Massachusetts home since she was a year old. Her beautiful
movement and elegant style, has made her an ideal
sport horse. She has gone on to be inspected by the
American Warmblood Society and is now in training
under saddle!

Yankee Dan's Miracle Miss (Barney Fife's
Yankee Dan x *Wood's Princess Jo), 2000 MFT
Mare
This sweet mare first arrived at Jobi Farm as a weanling
from Missouri. Receiving extensive training in hand,
including tricks, she was started under saddle as
a coming four year old as though she was a seasoned
riding horse. Bred to our stallion, *Tanjobi, she
was then sold to a wonderful gentleman in Indiana.
She produced a beautiful chestnut filly, who unfortunately
passed away at a few days old.
